Hi there! My name is Kanna, a certified health coach and holistic nutritionist.

I was born and grew up in Japan, now reside in Arizona, USA with 2 kids, hubby and a rescue dog, Hammy. Before settling in here, I also lived in Colorado, Seattle, Toronto and Victoria Canada.

Back in Japan, I lived in a very dark and lonely world with emotional eating/eating disorders over a decade along with low body image & self-esteem. I created this 1:1 Coaching Program, because I wish I had it when I felt so hopeless, powerless, and in a “shame-hole”.

I didn’t know how to deal with my unhealthy eating habits and yo-yo dieting. I tried everything I could within my knowledge (=fad diets from media). I committed 100%, spent so much energy and money, and always failed. I lost faith in diets, but I still believed that dieting was the only way out.

It was just so painful physically and mentally, not being able to see the results I wanted while torturing myself with food restrictions. All the limitations were taking its toll on my emotional well-being as well. I lived with embarrassment, shame, and my self-esteem could not have been lower.

I now know what I needed for those days……. It's a person. A PERSON.

Had it been someone who was empathetic and non-judgemental that I felt safe to share my frustrations and shame. Someone who shared me her food struggles and healing journey openly with a confident, happy and warm smile, I would have broken free years earlier. Because I then would have realized that a diet is not an answer, but talking to her, and working with her was the answer for me. Because I would have loved to be smiling like that - confident and content from within.

Session 1 - 4

  • Recognize and release deep negative emotions, so that you start reducing the time to reach for food for comfort.
  • Identify external triggers and stressors that drive emotional eating
  • Discover unhealthy limiting beliefs that’s leading you back to emotional eating every time and keeping you stuck

Session 5 - 8

  • Explore your diet mentality and rules - “should” around food and give you freedom for your choices with “could” and “will”
  • Explore social influences like family dynamics, peer influence, cultural norms, environmental factors, and bio-individuality
  • Look into your life holistically; relationships, career, physical movement, and spirituality as their imbalance could be a reason for you to eat when you’re not physically hungry

Session 9 - 12

  • Find who you truly are and what you already have by creating healthy mindsets and self-care tools
  • Detox emotionally so that you can create a calm and peaceful space for you to take care of yourself
  • Explore many alternatives and fun food options and recipe suggestions

    (the sessions will vary according to YOUR needs)
